Originally from Flint, MI, Shaquan Smith is passionate about making a positive impact in his community by bridging the gap between equity and sustainability. As a planner and strategic advisor for Seattle Parks and Recreation, Shaquan helps to make parks more equitable and sustainable for frontline communities (particularly those most affected by racism, oppression, and colonization) through participatory strategies and improvement efforts.
