Paula Hoff

Strategic Advisor and City Council Liaison at Superintendent’s Office, Seattle Parks and Recreation

Paula Hoff is a Policy and Performance Strategic Advisor in the Superintendent’s office. She has expertise in public policy, management of complex projects, navigating the legislative process, City Council relations, managing the work of the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners, and a host of other issues. Paula has a Political Science/Economics degree and worked in the political arena, Washington State Legislature, and the City Council for 8 years, prior to coming to Seattle Parks and Recreation. She is the recipient of the 2015 Seattle Management Association Public Service Leadership Award and has sat on the EASE (Emergency Assistance Program for City Employees) Board, Treeswing (funding PE and other recreational opportunities for youth) Board, as well as a number of other advisory committees. Paula has volunteered in various capacities, including coaching in local youth sports leagues for over 25 years.

As a former tennis player, Paula took up Pickleball recently and appreciated how welcoming the sport is to people of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. It is a great way to exercise, socialize, and make new friends.

Paula was born and raised in Seattle and, with her husband, raised two children and an adorable dog in the City. When not working, Paula enjoys the great outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and exploring our great city.
