Lisa Hernandez

Lisa oversees the direction of Houston Parks Board’s Community Engagement program, which focuses on deep, tailored engagement with communities across the Greater Houston region about the organization’s parks and trails projects. She has 15 years’ experience in the nonprofit and public sectors focused on creating and executing engagement plans and events for capital projects. She approaches her role as Senior Engagement Manager with the goal of reducing barriers for the community to participation, creating a fully inclusive engagement environment, and ensuring people see themselves in their parks and greenspaces after projects are complete.
