Jessica Andersen

Jessica has centered her career on connecting people with nature through the built environment. As an Urban Ecology Planner and a Landscape Architect with Denver Parks and Recreation, she understands that urban public spaces must be valued by humans and serve a variety of ecosystem services in order to keep Denver a livable and healthy city. Jessica is the supervisor for the Urban Ecology Team with Denver’s Park Planning, Design and Construction Division. Her team creates policy and planning documents as well as implements climate resilient capital improvement projects with Denver’s Urban Park System.
