Vanessa Curtis is the Bureau Safety Officer for Portland Parks & Recreation, overseeing the daily operations of the Safety Program and establishing best practices for safe work in the 12,000-acre park system with more than 150 developed parks.
Her work in safety first began in employee occupational health and wellness in healthcare. When not at work, Vanessa is exploring various Portland Parks playgrounds and trails with her husband and five-year-old daughter.
