Tierney Sneeringer

Cultural Outreach and Enrichment Manager at City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources

Tierney Sneeringer (she/her/hers) is dedicated to increasing access to the arts and cultural organizations, and now, parks. As Raleigh Parks’ Cultural Outreach and Enrichment Manager, Tierney focuses on cultivating a stronger sense of belonging within Raleigh’s immigrant and refugee communities. She has successfully expanded the program’s reach by increasing the number of participants and forging new partnerships within the community.

Before joining the Raleigh Parks team, Tierney worked in the arts and culture sector. She has cultivated strong community partnerships, developed and executed special events, and coordinated curatorial projects in institutions such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC, and the Exploratorium, a hands-on science museum in San Francisco, CA.

She earned a Masters in the Arts of Teaching in Museum Education from George Washington University and a B.A. in Art History and Spanish from the University of Delaware.
