Project Manager at Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA)

Sarah Kevorkian is a civil engineer and park planner at the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA), a local park agency that manages over 80,000 acres of open space in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. As a Jordanian-Armenian and the first in her family to be born in the United States, Sarah has witnessed and experienced the limitations of accessible recreation opportunities and is passionate to serve the MRCA and her community where she can advocate for equitable park access.

At the MRCA, Sarah plans trail and park projects in the greater Los Angeles Metropolitan area and she serves as the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy’s Regional Forest and Fire Capacity (RFFC) Program Manager, a role that allows Sarah to work with various agencies and regional stakeholders to collaboratively prioritize and develop wildfire resilience projects, increase capacity through investments in long-term career pathways, and fund unique wildfire resilience solutions.
