Raechel has many years of experience developing education programs, strategic initiatives, and interdisciplinary projects centered around social impact. In her current role, as the Youth Technology and Career Skills Manager with Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, she manages six media arts studios open daily to the public to support youth-produced projects and creative collaboration across an urban park system.
Prior to joining the field of parks and recreation, she was Associate Director of Community Programs for New York University’s Prison Education Program, a startup college-in-prison program working to address mass incarceration and advance solutions for community safety in New York City. Raechel has a master’s degree in Documentary Studies from New York University and studied photography, journalism and Spanish as an undergraduate at the University of Minnesota.
She is most inspired by everyday life and nature.
