Owen Harrang is the Management and Operations Advisor at Waterfront Park, the new 20-acre park along Seattle’s working waterfront managed by the Seattle Center. Owen focuses on the ongoing transition from the 15-year construction phase to the operation of a high-quality public space.
In this role, Owen has worked to launch the dedicate maintenance and public safety teams, develop and implement park performance standards, lead the acquisition and improvement of park facilities, and manage coordination with the Office of the Waterfront on the design and turnover of park amenities.
Previously, Owen worked at the Bryant Park Corporation and 34th Street Partnership in New York City as Operations Manager, overseeing public programming efforts for over 100,000 annual visitors.
Owen holds a Master of Urban Design and Planning from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies from Vassar College. He is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
