Nathan Schleicher

Design Lead at Earthscape Play

Nathan is an industrial product designer and play theorist. His impressive design portfolio ranges from massive parkour-friendly mini-cities at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas to maker-space STEM playgrounds in Detroit. Prior to joining Earthscape, he was the founder of Brainchild Design Co., specializing in modern wood-crafted children’s environments in both public and private spaces. At Earthscape, he is the lead playground concept designer and is responsible for Research & Innovation. His hand sketches are often the starting point of the iterative design process. His notably natural-material-centric designs are key city landmarks for families across North America, from San Francisco’s Presidio to St. Pete Pier in St Petersburg, Florida.
