Michael Williams

Trails Program Manager at Hayward Area Recreation and Park District

Michael has served over 30 years as a capital projects manager in the architectural, engineering, and construction industries. He has been extensively involved in the design and building out of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) projects in the public sector including roadways, rail lines, utilities, buildings, parks, trails, and open space primarily for underserved and disadvantaged communities in both northern and southern California. His project management experience has spanned across air, land, sea, and rail.

A 1981 graduate of Bishop College (now Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX), he also earned a certificate in Public Policy from the University of Texas in Austin which is where he was first introduced to life in the public sector. Following that he earned his Master of Arts degree in Comparative Religion at Biola University in La Mirada, CA.
