Michael Halicki

Executive Director at Park Pride

Michael Halicki believes in the power of parks. For 10 years, Michael has served as the Executive Director of Park Pride, an Atlanta-based nonprofit that provides leadership, services and funding to help communities realize their dreams for parks that support healthy people, united neighborhoods, a resilient city and a healthy environment.

Under his leadership, Park Pride has received Charity Navigator’s 4-Star Designation and the Platinum Seal of Transparency by Candid (formerly GuideStar) for several years running. In recent years, Michael has been included in The Atlanta 500, Atlanta Magazine’s list of Atlanta’s most influential leaders and Georgia Trend Magazine’s Notable Georgians.

Michael earned his graduate degree in nonprofit management from Georgia State’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies. He is also a graduate of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership and the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute. Additionally, Michael serves on The Livable Communities Council of the Urban Land Institute – Atlanta and recently joined the board of Atlanta Way 2.0 and the Atlanta Civic Collaboratory.
