Laura has over 20 years of experience working within city and county government structures as well as community-based organizations to build and engage community through gardening.
Laura currently manages the Community Gardens Program for Portland Parks & Recreation which includes 60 community gardens and nearly 3,000 individual garden plots. This includes the Native Gathering Garden, a culturally specific community garden developed through community vision to be a catalyst for strengthening our relationships with plants while healing the land.
