Jared Edgar McKnight

Senior Associate and Designer at WRT

Jared Edgar McKnight is a Senior Associate + Designer at WRT (Wallace Roberts & Todd, LLC), a landscape architecture, planning, urban design, and architecture firm based in Philadelphia and San Francisco.

Based in LA, Jared works across the landscape architecture, architecture, and urban design disciplines, and conducts research with USC’s Landscape Justice Initiative. Jared’s research focuses on the landscape’s potential as a system to support environmental and social resilience, with a focus on policy and design interventions that challenge the structures that isolate and exclude communities and ecosystems. His research on homelessness in LA invites others to see the landscapes around them anew, with an empathic lens that considers those whose voices, and identities, are not often heard, or designed for. This work has received recognition from ASLA National (Award of Excellence in Research), the Landscape Architecture Foundation (National Olmsted Scholar Finalist), and Pando Populus.
