Jacob Daley is the Sustainable Operations Manager for the Department of Parks and Recreation in Seattle. Jacob and his team track and vet utility data, ensure compliance with state and local benchmarking and performance standards, and spearhead energy conservation projects as well as efforts towards decarbonization and electrification of buildings and fleets.Jacob is a fourth-generation Seattleite with over 30 years of experience in construction, entrepreneurship, and design, bringing a unique perspective to his role in the public sector. Passionate about harnessing emerging technologies and industry best practices, he is committed to finding practical and effective solutions for improving building performance, reducing energy consumption, and tackling climate change head-on.Beyond his professional endeavors, Jacob enjoys recording music, playing ice hockey, exploring new destinations, renovating and creating unique spaces, and spending time with his cats.
