Ellie Stevens

Ellie Stevens, Ph.D., leads the Education Department for Forest Park Forever.In this role, she develops and deploys resources oriented towards youth andyouth serving organizations. Since joining Forest Park Forever in 2017, Stevenshas increasingly focused resources towards children living in St. Louis City,especially those served by the Saint Louis Public School System. She alsohelped to lead engagement efforts during the design, construction andprogramming of the Anne O’C. Albrecht Nature Playscape, a 17-acre greenspace created to engage children and families in outdoor play. Prior to joiningForest Park Forever, Stevens earned her Ph.D. in Entomology from theUniversity of Maryland and taught college-level biology courses. Herexperiences in academia inspired her professional interest in addressingbarriers to outdoor learning experiences.
