Carolyn Scotchmer

Executive Director at TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

Carolyn Scotchmer is the Executive Director of TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FEF) where she oversees the operations of the Foundation and leads a team of Regional Managers in the delivery of granting programs that support community-based environmental initiatives across Canada. During her time at TD, she has also supported TD’s corporate environmental giving in Canada and the US, as well as signature programs such as TD Tree Days and the TD Green Space program. Prior to joining the bank in 2012, she spent more than ten years in the charitable sector in Toronto and Calgary, developing and managing programs focused on community development through urban greening and community gardening.

Carolyn is currently serving on the Board of Directors for City Parks Alliance and sits on the Executive Management Committee of Partners in Project Green, an initiative of the Toronto Region Conservation Authority. Previously, she acted as Chair of the Board of Directors for Environment Funders Canada (until June, 2023). She holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Queens University and a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University.
