Walk & Talk: Victor Steinbrueck & Pike Place Market

Networking Event

Join a City Parks Alliance Board Member and fellow attendees on an informal walk to a local park. While this is not a guided tour of a specific park, it’s an opportunity to connect and learn more about City Parks Alliance, meet Alliance Board Members, and network with other Greater & Greener participants while getting some fresh air and seeing the local parks.

Pike Place Market has more than a century of history as the oldest continuously operating farmers market in the country and one of Seattle’s most popular draws. The market lures visitors and locals alike with its farm-fresh produce, flowers, wader-clad fishmongers slinging salmon, the Starbucks flagship store (which has been there since 1975!), and more. Enjoy a bite with gorgeous views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains from the public plaza at Victor Steinbrueck Park. Grab-and-go lunch options are available at the Beecher’s Cheese Cafe in the market or any of the many fast, casual eateries on the route. The total distance for this walk is about 1.2 miles or about 14 minutes each way.

Please note: This is a rain-or-shine event unless there is inclement weather. Bring your reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and money if you wish to pick up lunch.
