Solutions for Public Restrooms and Parks

Topical Peer Conversation

Restrooms are the separation between the public sphere and private activities; thus, keeping certain people out of public restrooms serves to also keep them out of the public realm.

This Peer Conversation will highlight inclusive public restroom solutions as discussion leaders review the history of public restrooms, design and wayfinding challenges, and best practices. Attendees will also deliberate on the importance of involving all key stakeholders, including owners, users, designers, and maintenance crews, from the outset of any public restroom project to ensure the creation of beautiful, resilient, sustainable, and inclusive facilities.
