Journey to a Sustainability Program

Cohort Peer Conversation

In the face of climate change, green spaces are valuable resources for environmental protection, education, and resilience building. Join this Peer Conversation led by Moncus Park — a young nonprofit park conservancy dedicated to developing and maintaining 100 acres of greenspace in the heart of Lafayette, Louisiana — to hear the story of its unique sustainability program’s implications for daily operations on people, the environment, and the broader economy.

Learn how this sustainability journey has allowed them to communicate the value of the park in quantifiable ways, bring their team together in a shared identity, and connect the environmental aspects of park stewardship to the human aspects that create a truly unique space. Participants will ask questions and share related work from their own organizations.

Note: This Peer Conversation is a closed session for individual park nonprofits and conservancies and is not available to general conference participants. If you represent an individual park nonprofit or conservancy, please add your name to the waitlist. Conference organizers will regularly review the waitlist and notify those who are moved into the session or are ineligible to attend so they can register for an alternative.
