Professional Development Opportunities at Greater & Greener

One of the hallmarks of Greater & Greener is the cross-sector dialogue, providing perspectives for related professions working in the urban parks field. City Parks Alliance is pleased to announce continuing education credits for parks and recreation professionals, planners, and landscape architects. Please see the Schedule at a Glance for session descriptions and credits. Continuing Education is available in the following categories:

CERTIFIED PARKS AND RECREATION PROFESSIONALS (CPRP) | CERTIFIED PARKS AND RECREATION EXECUTIVES (CPRE)

Greater & Greener is pleased to offer continuing education units (CEU) for those seeking to maintain CPRP and CPRE licenses in cooperation with the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association. 

For park professionals seeking continuing education for the CPRE/CPRP licensure, you must identify yourself upon check-in and pick up materials at the Conference registration desk. Forms must be given to the room monitors at the start of the session and you will retrieve the forms at the completion of the session. You must stay for the entire session and you will be required to fill out a session survey. (Session surveys are available through the conference app.) 

At the completion of your participation in all credit-bearing sessions, you must return to the Conference registration desk with your forms. You will keep one copy and you will leave a copy with conference staff. We will provide this information to CPRA at the end of the conference. Forms must be submitted by 6 PM, Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT CONTINUING EDUCATION SYSTEMS (LA CES)

City Parks Alliance is a Landscape Architecture Continuing Education (LA CES) approved provider for professional development hours (PDH). Attendance will be submitted to LA CES within 20 days of the event. You must stay for the entire session and you will be required to fill out a session survey. (Session surveys are available through the conference app.)

CERTIFICATION MAINTENANCE FOR PLANNERS (CM CREDITS)

City Parks Alliance is a Certification Maintenance (CM) Provider approved by AICP/APA to provide continuing education activities and events for CM credits. Planners must claim CM credits via the AICP website, CM log. City Parks Alliance is an authorized provider for these certifications. You must stay for the entire session and you will be required to fill out a session survey. (Session surveys are available through the conference app.) Greater & Greener will provide attendance records to AICP/APA at the end of the conference.

WORLD PARKS ACADEMY (CPP AND CPP-I HOURS)

Greater & Greener is pleased to offer continuing education units (CEU) for those seeking to maintain their Certified Park Professional (CPP) and Certified Park Professional International (CPP-I) certifications in cooperation with the World Parks Academy (The Eppley Institute for Parks and Public Lands at Indiana University). To earn CEUs for the CPP and CPP-I certification, you must identify yourself to Conference registration staff as seeking these credits. At the conclusion of the conference, Greater & Greener will share your contact information and session attendance information with the World Parks Academy. They will honor CEU values and convert them to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours for your accreditation. The World Parks Academy will issue certificates to you for your records. You must stay for the entire session and you will be required to fill out a session survey. (Session surveys are available through the conference app.) 

For all participants seeking credit: Please note that it is up to the individual to manage your own certification process. Upon check-In the Conference Registration area, please verify with staff that you are seeking credits to ensure you are indicated as such in our system and that you receive the appropriate materials where necessary.
