June 18 – 21, 2022
Greater & Greener 2022: Philadelphia, PA
Presented in partnership with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy
The Greater & Greener biennial conference explores how urban parks can be designed, developed, programmed, funded, and sustained to meet the challenges facing 21st-century cities. The COVID-19 pandemic has elevated a national dialogue on the essential role of parks in our cities, and Greater & Greener will continue to lead this conversation by bringing together experts to share lessons, network across sectors, and engage together. We continue planning for our in-person conference in Philadelphia in June of 2022, with weekend tours, mobile workshops, and breakout sessions, however, we are considering a number of contingency plans involving a variety of virtual and in-person formats.

Seattle is likewise looking to creatively tap into private spaces for public use and exploring new park funding mechanisms to guarantee maintenance and programming capital for its parks.
