Carolyn Ramsay has worked in Los Angeles park advocacy through grass-roots organizing, non-profit management, and city government for 20 years. Prior to becoming the executive director of the Los Angeles Parks Foundation, she was a Los Angeles City Council chief of staff and Los Angeles program director for the Trust for Public Land. Prior to her career in public service, she was a print journalist working as a beat reporter at the Stamford Advocate in Connecticut and at People magazine in Los Angeles. She and her husband, non-profit consultant Andy Goodman, have two grown children.
