Thomas has over a decade’s worth of leadership experience in the land stewardship field. Having received a BS from Slippery Rock University for studies focused on public relations and sociology, Thomas has also worked as a social worker with youth before beginning a tenure with the Student Conservation Association. Thomas served as the project manager of the Emerald Trail Corps workforce development program. Thomas has entrepreneurial experience as a former small business owner and a musician. He is also certified as a pesticide applicator and in Sorens Eriksson’s Game of Logging and National Green Infrastructure Certification Program.
