Kate is a landscape architect and senior associate within Sasaki’s urban studio where she focuses on crafting vibrant and resilient waterfronts, parks, and plazas. With training in both engineering and geology and a first career as a physics teacher, Kate brings a truly cross-disciplinary and collaborative approach to landscape architecture. She leads Sasaki’s research initiative on urban youth, and her work on outdoor playscapes and schoolyards has earned national recognition. Kate has served on the board of directors of the Landscape Architecture Foundation and remains active in academia, with recent teaching appointments and lectures.
