Harry Lesesne has been the Charleston Parks Conservancy’s executive director since 2012. With a mission to inspire the people of Charleston to connect with their parks and together create stunning public spaces and a strong community, the Conservancy has transformed 25 Charleston parks and greenspaces. Harry has focused on making the Conservancy a sustainable organization with broad community support. Prior to joining the Conservancy, he served more than eight years as an advisor to former Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. It was in that position that his passion for engaging citizens in great parks and public spaces blossomed.
