Mallory Bettag is a parks planner for the Denver Parks & Recreation Department. She is an experienced city planner with a background in current and long-range planning in municipal and county-level government as well as public health practice in healthy eating and active living strategies. She received her Bachelor’s of Architecture and her Bachelor’s of Arts degrees at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She went on to complete a Master of Urban & Regional Planning at the University of Colorado at Denver, and a Master of Public Health at the University of Colorado at the Anschutz Medical Campus.
As a parks planner, Mallory works to improve community health through equitable access to public parks, trails, and open space. Her work focuses on the evaluation of the built environment to plan and implement strategies, programs, infrastructure, and policies to promote healthy communities, with a focus on the advocacy and advancement of health equity in historically underrepresented populations.
