Nicole Ankeney, RLA, joined the City of Westminster in 2015. As a Senior Landscape Architect, she manages park and trail development projects from planning and design through construction. She has a Bachelor’s of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon and is licensed in Oregon and Colorado. She worked for several years in Oregon as a designer for a private landscape architecture firm and then as a landscape architect and planner for a park and recreation district managing capital improvement projects and assisting with long range park planning.
Currently, she is managing the development of Westminster Station Park, a 37-acre park and nature playground project associated with transit-oriented development and flood control. She is also managing the England Park Greenhouse Center, which includes adding another 6,000 square foot greenhouse, a small office building with a green roof, permeable paver parking lot and plaza to an existing site. Nicole strives to provide unique and multifunctional public spaces based upon sustainable practices and community engagement.
