Phillip Wiley

Recreation Facility Director at City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks

Phillip Wiley has worked for the Los Angeles Dept. of Recreation and Parks for 25 years. He received a Master Degree from Cal State Northridge in 2005 and BA Degree in 2003. Phillip has coached and mentored hundreds of kids for many years and received the Tobi Hero Community award in 2016 from the Los Angeles Clippers.

He’s currently the liaison for the Adult Late Night Hoops league, which targets at risk men from age 18-24. Phillip was appointed to a committee by former Mayor Villaraigosa to evaluate Gang Intervention programs for funding throughout the City of Los Angeles. He’s a reformed 16-year former Gang Member advocating positive change for parks.
