Lykke Leonardsen is the program director for Resilient and Sustainable City Solutions for the City of Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark. She has more than 25 years of experience in various fields of urban development. This includes local regeneration projects, international urban policies, and communication.
Since 2008 she has worked for the Technical and Environmental Administration in charge of making Copenhagen more blue and green – in charge of water management and green infrastructure planning. It was as part of this work that the city’s Climate Change Adaptation plan was developed.
She was the key driver for the work on climate change adaptation, the development of the adaptation plan and the cloudburst management plan, and the first steps towards a storm surge plan in Copenhagen and is currently focusing on sharing her city’s climate results with other cities around the world.
