Kelsey Edelen

Navy Yard Project Manager at Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC)

Kelsey works as the Navy Yard Project Manager for the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC), Philadelphia’s public-private economic development corporation. Described by POLITICO as “the coolest shipyard in America” and by Urban Land Institute as “one of the most successful office/industrial master-planned redevelopments in U.S. history,” the Navy Yard is home to nearly 15,000 employees working at 170 companies in a variety of flexible buildings with different heights, vintages, and floorplates, powered by a nationally-recognized microgrid and oriented around iconic parks, Complete Streets, and a riverfront greenway.

In its master developer role at the Navy Yard in South Philadelphia, PIDC manages all aspects of the Navy Yard’s management and development, including master planning, leasing, property management, infrastructure development, utility operation, and structuring development transactions.
Kelsey is currently managing a comprehensive update to the Navy Yard Master Plan, and has also been involved in strategic planning, development agreement negotiations, project procurement, and other analysis, support, and coordination of various real estate and capital projects.

Kelsey earned her Masters of City Planning (MCP) at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her current roles and the MCP program, Kelsey was a manager in PwC’s real estate valuation and financial services group in New York City. In addition to her MCP, Kelsey also holds a Masters degree in Accounting, and a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance, both from New York University.
Despite all the East Coast time on her resume, Kelsey was born and raised in Austin, Texas and still says “y’all”.
