Born in Walnut Creek, CA. Graduated from California State University, Chico with a bachelor’s in Recreation Administration option in Therapeutic Recreation, minor in French. @ City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department, as a CTRS I helped those with special needs access recreation services by creating success plans for the participant based on their needs. Prior, I worked in Reno, NV as a CTRS with children and youth with psychological and behavioral disorders using recreation as a therapeutic tool to work through the challenges they faced in life and learn how to overcome them. I am the PARD Director for the City of Brownsville, this year I am serving as the Texas Recreation and Park Society TR Branch Chair and am involved in many committees, boards, and taskforces related to the industry, including City Parks Alliance National Advisory Panel & Brownsville was proud to host a PARKXCHANGE Workshop Oct 2020 & win the NRPA Meet Me at the Park Grant for Inclusion Caboose project.
