Carolyn Ramsay, Executive Director of the Los Angeles Parks Foundation, has worked in Los Angeles park advocacy through grassroots organizing, non-profit management, and city government for 20 years.
Prior to becoming Executive Director of the Los Angeles Parks Foundation, she was a Los Angeles City Council Chief of Staff and Los Angeles Program Director for the Trust for Public Land. Her public service work followed a career in print journalism, both as an education and crime beat reporter at the Stamford Advocate in Connecticut, a correspondent for People magazine in Los Angeles, and writer for the Los Angeles Times Magazine, The New York Times, and Buzz Magazine.
A graduate of the University of Oregon, Carolyn and her husband, a non-profit consultant, Andy Goodman have two grown children.
