Carlos Perez

President at Perez Planning + Design

Carlos Perez is the president of Perez Planning + Design, a research-based planning and design firm that practices at the intersection of people, place, the built, and the natural environment. PPD specializes in Parks and Recreation System Planning and Design and Active-Transportation Planning and Design. The firm has worked with over 150 cities, counties, and agencies throughout the United States and has been instrumental in helping cities leverage the power of the public realm. Their plans have led to the allocation of over $1 Billion dollars of funding for public realm projects.

Carlos serves as a Board Member for the City Parks Alliance; the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, and the Advisory Council for the University of Florida College of Design, Construction, and Planning.

Carlos received a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida; a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning, and a Master’s Degree in Urban Design from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He currently resides in Atlanta.
