Brooke Pardue

President/CEO at Parks Alliance of Louisville

Brooke joined the Parks Alliance of Louisville in November 2017 as President/CEO after serving on the Board for five years, the last two as Chair. This marked a big step forward for the Alliance, and for Brooke, as the first full-time employee. In first few years following her hire, the Alliance quadrupled its investment in parks with the installation of the first “Skate Spot” in the Midwest, five turf soccer fields in 3 South Louisville parks, and expanded the staff to 4 employees.

The Alliance is currently focused on two major initiatives, both inspired by the events of 2020. The Alliance realize early in the pandemic that one-off projects in our public parks was never going to move the needle on decades of racial injustice and health disparities. Parks for All ~ A Citywide Equitable Investment Initiative and the development of a new 20-acre public park in an underserved community both provide the opportunity to address decades of systemic disinvestment in Louisville’s neighborhood parks in communities of color.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Brooke served as Constituent Services Manager to Congressman John Yarmuth from 2008 to 2017, where she oversaw a team of liaisons who worked one-on-one with constituents to help resolve issues they had with federal agencies.
