Rebuild’s Community Engagement Playbook: A Toolkit for Philadelphia

Panel

Rebuild Philadelphia is a monumental investment in neighborhood parks, recreation centers, and libraries that will bring upgrades to more than 70 sites across the city. Made possible by the Philadelphia Beverage Tax, Rebuild will invest hundreds of millions of dollars in improving community facilities.

Central to Rebuild’s mission is community-informed design and development. To accomplish this mission and center the community in each project, Rebuild assembled a team of local designers to develop an innovative Playbook that provides resources and guidance for conducting outreach and community engagement on Rebuild’s behalf. This panel will guide participants through a how-to guide for developing a communications and community engagement plan tailored to a site to ensure the voice of residents who provide the on-the-ground ideas and insights necessary are at the core of any project.
