Developing Non-Motorized Networks in Smaller Communities

This Peer-to-Peer conversation will explore the need for non-motorized networks, steps that communities can take to support them, the role of those networks in local economic development, potential funding sources, and resources for implementing non-motorized networks in small towns and rural communities. The benefits of systematic approaches to network design and non-motorized safety, the role of land use planning, complete streets programs, and the role of public-private partnerships will all be discussed, along with examples of pilot projects and potential funding sources.
