There are multiple conventions occurring in Downtwon Denver at the same time as Greater & Greener. Our room blocks at the Westin, Hilton, and Marriott SpringHill Suites are sold out. We encourage you to call the Westin to see if there are any lower rates available. The other properties are completely sold out. If you are unable to secure a room in Downtown Denver, you may want to consider a property outside of downtown that may be near public transportation. You may also want to search sites that offer accommodations in private residences such as Air BnB.

The hotel is just steps from the celebrated restaurants in Larimer Square and LoDo’s vibrant nightlife and is close to the Greater & Greener conference hub. A full-service bar and restaurant are located on the premises. This hotel also works closely with MSU providing scholarships and internships for students in the Hotel Management Bachelor of Science program.

The 2019 Greater & Greener conference is built upon a solid foundation of partnerships with Denver Parks & Recreation, the Denver Performing Arts Complex, and Colorado University Denver - College of Architecture and Planning. Utilizing these venues for specific conference programming — all within close proximity to one another — participants will get to experience the unique character that is the cooperative partnership of Downtown Denver.

The Ellie Caulkins Opera House, known simply as "The Ellie," is a world-class music hall designed in the lyric style. With many renovations since its original opening in 1908, The Ellie invites top artists, performers and ensembles from around the world, and its lobby is adorned with public art pieces from artists like Dale Chihuly.
The Ellie will serve as the Greater & Greener Conference hub, hosting conference registration, keynote and plenary sessions, the exhibition hall, peer-to-peer and some breakout sessions, and the Exhibitor's Reception.

CU Denver/College of Architecture and Planning is located in Denver's lower downtown (LoDo), the city's oldest neighborhood. LoDo is home to some off Denver's best restaurants, galleries, and business including professional architecture and design firms.
CU Denver will host a majority of Greater & Greener's educational sessions and is a five-minute walk from the Ellie.

Getting to Downtown Denver from Denver International Airport
Light Rail: The A Line commuter train, operated by the Regional Transportation District (RTD), offers convenient transportation between Denver International Airport (DEN) and downtown Denver. The approximate travel time is 37 minutes from DEN to Denver Union Station (see additional hotel information below if using this option). Trains run every 15 minutes during peak travel times, and every 30 minutes from 3 a.m. - 5 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. (for exact departure and arrival times, please consult the schedule on the RTD website). Tickets for the A Line may be purchased using cash or credit cards at the ticket vending machines located at the train stations or at the DEN Transit Center. Tickets can also be purchased at the RTD Information Booth at the Transit Center. The airport fare is $10.50 per day from any of the stations along the A Line and includes unlimited rides on the A Line during a single business day. The train is located on level 1.

Ground Transportation: Both Uber and Lyft are app-based services available at DEN. Taxicabs are readily available and provide service to the Denver metro area. A one-way, flat rate charge to downtown Denver is approximately $56. Verify your rate before entering the vehicle. Taxicabs pick up and drop off from the terminal on Level 5, Island 1. If you are in Terminal East, the locations are outside of doors 505, 507, and 511. If you are in Terminal West, the location is outside of doors 506, 510, and 512. Getting to the Hilton Denver City Center from Union Station
By Bus: The Denver City Center Hotel is located at 1701 California Street. From The “A” Line train (from the airport), depart at Union Station (the last stop). Follow the signs to the Free 16th Street Mall Ride bus. Board the bus and disembark at California Street. Cross the mall, heading east (away from the mountains) on California for two blocks. The hotel is located on California between 17th and 18th street. This is a very busy bus route and offers a lot of “character.” An alternative to the Free Mall Ride is the Free Metro Ride bus. Getting to the Marriott Springhill Suites Downtown Denver from Union Station
By Bus: The Marriott Springhill Suites Downtown Denver is located at 1190 Auraria Parkway. From The “A” Line train (from the airport), depart at Union Station (the last stop). Follow the signs to the Free 16th Street Mall Ride bus. Board the bus and disembark at Market Street. Head west on Market (towards the mountains), crossing 15th Street, 14th Street, and Speer Boulevard. Speer Blvd becomes Auraria Parkway.
By Hotel Shuttle Bus: The Marriott Springhill Suites Downtown Denver offers free shuttle bus service to the hotel from Union Station. The shuttle runs from 6:30 AM through 10:30 PM. To make arrangements, please call the hotel at (303) 705-7500 and push zero to get to the hotel operator.

16TH STREET MALL RIDE
Called the MallRide, this free hybrid vehicle scoots up and down the 16-block tree-lined retail core of downtown Denver, also home to hotels, restaurants, office buildings, residences and public spaces. Hop on at any intersection on 16th St. between Civic Center Station at Broadway near the Colorado State Capitol (200 E. Colfax Ave.) and Union Station on the west end.
Rickshaws, pedal-cabs, bike-taxis-no matter what you call them, these mountain-bike-style tricycles pulling passenger cabs are the slickest way to get around downtown and LoDo, especially on game days. Mile High Pedicabs is the oldest fleet, starting in 1988. Drivers strive to give a good, safe ride, so most pedal for tips (or $2 per city block).
