THIS MOBILE WORKSHOP IS AT CAPACITY.
Downtown Denver is the economic and cultural center of Colorado’s Front Range and the Rocky Mountain region. Since 2000, the downtown residential population has increased 200% amongst a growing number of workers, students, and visitors who experience and enjoy daily Denver’s "Front Yard" through a variety of urban parks, public spaces, and rights-of-way.
This tour will focus on the public rights-of-way and Denver’s efforts through partnerships to create a diverse, livable downtown of neighborhoods and business districts. The session will explore the successes and challenges of growing an urban forest in a semi-arid climate; building infrastructure and implementing pilots to serve the mobility needs of a growing city; and developing a sustainable, healthy downtown of green buildings and infrastructure through regulations.
